With temperatures soaring, a few small updates can make your home much more comfortable—whether or not you have the luxury of A/C!
Indoors:
Boost A/C Efficiency
Replace air filters and make sure vents aren’t blocked. Keep blinds or curtains closed during peak sun hours.
No A/C? Create a Breeze
Use fans strategically—place box fans by windows at night, and run ceiling fans counterclockwise. A frozen damp towel in front of a fan adds a cooling boost.
Switch to Light Fabrics
Swap heavy bedding and dark décor for lighter cotton or linen to help rooms feel cooler.
Outdoors:
Add Shade
Use umbrellas, shade sails, or even a sheet to block direct sun. This helps both outdoor and indoor spaces stay cooler.
Cool Touches
Set out a water bowl or misting fan for relief. Water gardens early, and move potted plants into shaded spots.
These simple tweaks can make a big difference during a heatwave—stay safe and cool!
